Information on the change of laws on data processing

The Act of February 21, 2019 / * (Journal of Laws of 2019, item 730) on amending certain acts in connection with ensuring the application of the Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46 / EC (general regulation on data protection) - in force from 04/05/2019. (Appendix No. 1.), the new provision of which was included in the Act on detective services - see the last consolidated text announcement of 09/01/2020. (Annex 2) is of significant legal importance for entrepreneurs operating in the field of detective services, detectives and their clients, who should be familiarized with the legal effects of the act.

 

Another amendment to this specific legislative phantom, how is the legal status of the Act on detective services of 06.07.2001 determined. (Appendix No. 3), very important, the detective's right to process the collected personal data without the consent of the data subjects.

 

However, with the reservation that this only applies to data collected in the course of activities referred to in Art. 2.1. cited of the Act and only in the scope of the detective service provided, along with the requirements of appropriate handling of these data after the completion of the given detective service.
